Personal Trainer Coordinator

Compensation

  • We’ll pay you an hourly rate of $20.00 per hour and 60% commission.

Full-time hourly for 30 hours and conduct personal training services for 10 hours / week. Scheduling will be facilitated through direct communication between yourself and members.

  • About the Job

    We need you to fill the role of Personal Trainer Coordinator . Under the direction of the Fitness and Wellness Director, the Personal Trainer (PT) Coordinator, will help grow our Health and Wellness offerings by providing support to a team of personal trainers while creating a positive and motivating environment for members. The PT Coordinator will motivate and inspire positive changes for the team and community to live their happiest and healthiest life through their dedication to help others achieve their goals. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a passion for health and wellness, possess strong organizational skills, be able to manage a team of 20-30 personal trainers, and display an ability to work collaboratively in team settings, and have excellent interpersonal skills.

    Essential Functions

    Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and lead a team of 20-30 personal trainers.
  • Provide guidance, support, and motivation to ensure individual and team success.
  • Set clear expectations, communicate goals, and inspire the team to achieve high levels of performance.
  • Implement strategies to enhance retention, such as creating programs to track members’ progress and satisfaction.
  • Develop efficient communication strategies for personal trainers to implement while communicating with members.
  • Manage personal training registrations, redemptions, reports, and payroll.
  • Program Development and Implementation :

  • Develop fitness programs tailored to specific needs and goals.
  • Implement effective training strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Explore and implement innovative fitness programs or training approaches to keep the offerings dynamic and aligned with industry trends.
  • Develop assessment, preset programs, and personalized programs in our chosen online training application and support personal trainers to do the same.
  • Develop an organized system for scheduling appointments between trainers and members.
  • Member Interaction and Assessment :

  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing members’ needs and concerns.
  • Conduct assessments to determine fitness levels, goals, and any special considerations.
  • Maintain regular communication with members to track progress and support them in achieving their goals.
  • Training and Development :

  • Train personal trainers during the onboarding process including familiarization with policies, procedures, and service standards. This includes providing the services we offer for their knowledge of service expectations and standards.
  • Participate in reviewing resumes, validating certifications, and auditions for interviews.
  • Assure Continuing Education Credit (CEC) and Continuing Education Unit (CEU) are both on track for re-certification and renewal dates.
  • Provide in-person and / or virtual training on how to utilize our chosen online training application, and / or protocols for services provided.
  • Foster ongoing professional development for the team.
  • Track and evaluate the performance of personal trainers.
  • Implement strategies for improvement and recognition based on individual and team achievements.
  • Budget Management :

  • Assist in budget planning related to personal training services.
  • Monitor and manage expenses to ensure targets are met.
  • Assure equipment needs are provided and that any inventory needs are reported.
  • Compliance with Policies and Regulations :

  • Ensure that personal trainers adhere to relevant industry standards and company policies.
  • Stay informed about the fitness industry trends and regulations.
  • Collaboration :

  • Collaborate with other departments such as Facilities, Membership, Athletics, Aquatics, and / or Tennis to achieve overall organizational goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Emergency Response and Safety :

  • Be knowledgeable about emergency response procedures and always ensure the safety of members and staff.
  • Generate insightful reports on services to be shared with the Membership Experience Team, which includes Directors and Coordinators of various Health and Wellness Departments and including the Membership Department.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements :

  • Must be a Certified Personal Trainer for 1-year minimum.
  • Must provide personal training services continuously for 1-year minimum.
  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or related field.
  • Must have strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work with a wide age range of members.
