GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Overview: The Director of School Management acts in the capacity of Assistant Administrator. The responsibilities listed below are to assist and support the Administrators. Other qualifications may be added by the Board as deemed appropriate.

Responsible to: Administrator

Evaluation: The Director of School Management’s performance will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of professional personnel and this job description. Details are found in the Employee Handbook.

REQUIRED PERSONAL QUALITIES

The Director of School Management shall:

  • Have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior and model spiritual disciplines.
  • Be in agreement with the school's Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education.
  • Be a member in good standing at a church.
  • Respectfully submit to constituted authority.
  • Shall notify the administrator of any policy he/she is unable to support.
  • Refuse to use or circulate confidential information inappropriately.
  • Recognize the role of parents as primarily responsible before God for their children's education and be prepared to assist them in that task.

JOB DESCRIPTION - Essential Functions

The Director of School Management shall:

  • Function as a member of the administrative team.
  • Provide leadership to the administrative team, meetings, and decisions when the Administrator is not present.
  • Work with the Curriculum Coordinator to plan and execute Professional Development events.
  • Provide oversight and ensure that handbooks, job descriptions, and other miscellaneous policies are up to date.
  • Be part of the team interviewing for open faculty and staff positions as needed.
  • Chair Crisis Management committee, and other committees as appointed by the administrator. Provide oversight to the Safety and Security grant.
  • Be part of the evaluation process for key office and support staff.

e. Media specialists

  • Screens, interviews and hires substitute teachers.
  • Responsible for developing the school calendar.
  • Acts in a human resources capacity along with the business office

a. Mediate issues related to benefits and between employees as needed
b. Ensure the successful implementation of the onboarding process
c. Title IX

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $35,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
