What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Operations position at Shalom Christian Academy?
The person in this 12 month position provides oversight to general functions of the school by supervising several departments - finances, transportation, buildings and grounds, technology, human resources. This person is responsible for directing actions and department managers to improve efficiency and reduce costs as needed.
Essential Functions
1. Define, implement and revise operational policies and guidelines for the operations of Shalom Christian Academy. 2. Provide oversight to the following departments: business, facility, human resources, transportation and technology. 3. Work with department heads to develop and manage the budget.
4. Work with department heads to increase customer service and implement best practices.
5. Ensure operational compliance. 6. Provide oversight to the procurement of material and resources.
7. Is a member of and active participant with the administrative team
8. Involved in the development of new growth initiatives.
