About Shayna's Village: Shayna's Village is Shalom Orlando's premier resource for parenting support, social engagement, enrichment programs, and family involvement. The Director of Shayna's Village & Parenting Ally oversees program development,
implementation, and parenting support for Shayna's Village and Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) families.
Minimum Qualifications:
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Shayna's Village & Parenting Ally is responsible for designing and leading revenue-generating programs for families, children, and parents. This role includes overseeing part-time and contract staff, offering parenting guidance, and ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience for members. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, highly creative, and experienced in education and child development.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage revenue-generating programs for Shayna's Village. Recruit, hire, and supervise contract staff to maintain program excellence.
Lead fundraising initiatives.
Strengthen connections between Shayna's Village families and the ECLC. Design and implement engaging family and preschool enrichment programs. Promote and expand participation in Shayna's Village activities.
Offer parenting support and educational resources.
Organize parenting classes, lectures, and community outreach efforts.
Utilize email, social media, and other marketing channels to promote programming.
Oversee the design and vision of Shayna's Village spaces.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise part-time and contract staff involved in Shayna's Village programs. Support professional and personal growth among team members.
Guide program design and implementation.
Qualifications:
Strong creative vision and leadership skills.
Proven success in education, social media marketing, or a related field. An understanding of child development, milestones, etc.
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
Required Competencies:
Sound judgment and decision-making abilities. Adaptability and willingness to embrace change. Strong organizational skills and follow-through.
Conflict resolution and positive interpersonal engagement. Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
Understanding of volunteer-professional relationships and experience managing them. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 25 lbs.). Typical office environment with moderate noise levels.
