The job of the Rooms Inspector is to lead housekeeping teams, inspect rooms, ensure smooth operations of the department and work closely with the Executive Housekeeper and other hotel departments.
Job Duties:
- Lead, train and supervise Room Attendants and Housepersons in a designated area to ensure all rooms and public areas meet established cleanliness and quality standards.
- Work with Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Supervisor and others to support the daily operation of the department, including opening/closing of the office, leading morning stand up meetings and communicating with the Front Desk.
- Assess room inventory, assign rooms for cleaning and inspect rooms.
- Verify and report status and/or discrepancies of rooms.
- Monitor linen rooms, carts and designated inventories.
- Coordinate with Engineering Department to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of items related to guest rooms and public areas.
- Perform Room Attendant, Houseperson or laundry duties as needed.
- Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner, answer their questions and address any issues with the team to ensure the guest’s stay is a positively memorable experience.
