Overview
You will perform duties associated with industrial/environmental cleaning, hazardous and no hazardous waste picks up/disposal, and emergency response, willing to perform manual labor tasks associated with HAZWOPER.
Responsibilities
Operate commercial motor vehicles such as Vacuum trucks, Tankers, Roll-Off,
- Ensure the truck remains in proper and safe working order and that routine and required maintenance occur on a timely basis.
- Maintain daily e-logs, safety & inspection reports, expense reports, and project reports while ensuring they are properly documented.
- Must be willing to perform manual labor-related tasks to support projects.
- Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies, and requirements are met.
- Comply with all Federal, State, and local laws regulating safe driving and the safe and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to be on call for emergency response (on a rotational schedule basis).
- Ability to perform work based on task conditions and hazards.
- Maintain appropriate driver's license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
Qualifications
- Class A CDL Required.
- Experience Driving Vacuum/Tanker/Roll-off
- Tanker & Hazmat endorsements Required.
- MUST BE ABLE TO drive a manual transmission.
- MUST pass pre-employment requirements: DOT physical including drug & alcohol screening, and background check.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 40-50 lbs., at times up to 75 lbs.
- Willingness and ability to climb ladders, stairs, etc.
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Availability and Willingness to work some weekends and after-regular hours Emergency Response Calls (rotation).
- Ability to travel overnight as required on occasion.
