Responsibilities
- Weighing materials. Operating scales to accurately measure the weight of incoming/outgoing materials/chemicals ,trucks, containers, or individual items.
- Data Entry: Recording weight measurements into a computer system, including details like vehicle identification, product type, and time of weighing.
- Recordkeeping: Maintaining accurate logs and reports of weighed materials, ensuring compliance with inventory management procedures.
- Performing routine checks on the scale to ensure accuracy, including calibrations and cleaning.
- Communication: Interacting with drivers, warehouse personnel, and other relevant parties to coordinate weighing processes and address any issues.
- Compliance: Adhering to safety procedures and regulations related to scale operation.
Qualifications
- Attenton to detail . Accurately read and record measurement with precision.
- Basic computer skills. Familarity with data entry systems to log weight information.
- Math skills . Ability to calculate weights and perform basic calculations.
- Communications skills. Must be able to communicate clearly with drivers and personel regarding the procedures
- Physically be able to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to move around the scales and the area.
- Must be able to work in heat and cold temps
- Must be able to work in dusty, noisey and stong smelling enivironments.
- Ability to lift 50 to 75lbs
