What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marina Forklift Driver position at Shamrock Marina?
We are looking for more Forklift Operators at Shamrock Marina, a Premier Marina on Lake Vermillion for the 2025 boating season! Position is SEASONAL, mid April through October 2025. Weather dependent. May be sooner with no snow!
Forklift driving experience is helpful but not required as training will be done on the job. Must have Forklift Operators Safety Certification or the ability to obtain within 1 month of employment. Forklift License will be paid for by the Marina.
General duties include : Putting boats in and out of the water using Marine Forklift, Basic mechanical knowledge, pumping fuel, friendly interaction and assistance with customers, and basic cash register operations.
Duties include:
· Pre-season: (Not relevant unless you would like to join us for the 2025 season as well)
o Boat cleaning/getting boats ready for season.
o Need basic mechanical knowledge.
o Communication through email and phone with customers.
· In-Season:
o Putting boats in and out of the water using Marine Forklift.
o Dock Services/ Pumping fuel.
o Need basic mechanical knowledge.
o Friendly interactions and assistance with our customers.
o Communication through email and phone with customers.
o Basic cash register operations.
o Communicate and Execute Cabin and Boat Rentals.
· Post-Season:
o Prepare Boats for Winter Storage.
o Need basic mechanical knowledge.
o Communication through email and phone with customers.
