What are the responsibilities and job description for the Self Employed Independent Handyman position at Shamrock Property Maintenance?
YOU: Skilled handyman, proficient in most or all residential maintenance and repair needs. Established with references, insurance, and tools. Licensed in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing is a big plus, as well as Water Remediation abilities.
US: Gatekeepers for thousands of homes throughout the Southeast U.S.A. We handle their maintenance, repair, renovation and unit turn needs. We are looking for you to help us handle some repair orders.
WHY: MONEY! We send you work orders, you just need to perform the task and collect your pay. Take photos of the condition you find when you arrive, show photos of your finished work, turn in your notes, and get paid… weekly!
We have a dedicated team in our offices that are your support staff. They handle the bidding questions from the owners, the billing, the search for replacement appliances, among many other things. You don’t have to do any of that. You will tell us what kind of repairs you want to do, and we will send you only those. You tell us where you want to go, we only send you there. You set your schedule by letting us know when you can accept work orders and when you cannot.

You must be able to:
- Diagnoses and troubleshoot reported issues.
- Perform emergency repairs and respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records and photos of all work performed and parts used.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing using a phone, laptop, other method with our team members.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
You need to have at least 2 years of experience. A background check is required, and we need to have proof of auto insurance in your name, along with general liability insurance. Worker’s Compensation insurance or a qualified exemption is also needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of handyman tasks including construction painting, drywall installation, and HVAC maintenance.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical repairs and diagnostics.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide quality service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while managing multiple projects efficiently.
