Responsibilities
Ryan Transportation and Shamrock Trading Corporation are seeking a Bilingual Carrier Account Manager to support cross-border shipping. The objective of the Bilingual Carrier Account Manager (BCAM) position is to further identify, develop, manage, and utilize specific high-profile cross border carriers in a strategic and targeted manner for Ryan Transportation. This position will work closely with Account Managers, Director of Sales, Director of Carrier Operations, Business Development Managers, Pricing Analyst, and others to strategically manage the relationships and fleets of medium and large-scale carriers to align their capacity with high volume, specialized and key Ryan Transportation customers and their cross-border Mexico lanes. This position will also work with our sales and pricing team to assist in RFP / pricing efforts for all cross-border Mexico opportunities and awarded lanes. The BCAM will report directly to the Director of Carrier Operations.
- Prospecting, solicitation, and procurement of key carriers across multiple levels, modes, and geographical regions that are primarily based in the southern region of the US on US / Mexico border
- Qualify and negotiate with carriers to support existing and obtain new business and strategically align your portfolio of carriers with our customer’s freight
- Build strong relationships with carriers' key representatives including dispatchers, management, drivers and other operational personnel
- Identify areas of improvement / operational inefficiencies with carriers and provide / execute problem solving action plans
- Manage daily lane / region operations with key carriers
- Become the subject matter expert (SME) for cross-border Mexico lanes and regions relating to carrier operations, pricing, current and future capacity
