Job Title: Assistant General Manager
Overall Responsibility: The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for assisting the General Manager (GM) with the overall management of the restaurant’s daily operations. The AGM must make sure premium food quality is served, provide optimum customer service, and ensure all safety requirements are followed at all times. The AGM must be a brand ambassador and ensure the culture and policies of the company are adhered to at all times.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
· Assist with managing day-to-day operations by scheduling labor, ordering food & supplies, and developing the team.
· Estimate food consumptions, monitor inventory and schedule delivery of fresh food and beverages.
· Ensure Occupational Safety and Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy are met.
· Assist GM in controlling Profit & Loss (i.e., plan attainment) by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions to improve performance.
· Achieve goals in sales revenue, cost of goods sold, and hourly labor.
· Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members; conduct performance reviews, take disciplinary action when required, motivate and train.
· Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standard, product quality and cleanliness of the kitchen & restaurant.
· Monitor food preparation and methods, ensuring 100% compliance with company operational policies.
· Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, fed/state/local laws & ordinances.
· Provide leadership by engendering excitement, enthusiasm, a positive mental attitude and commitment toward company objectives
· Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms and appearance standards.
· Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services.
· Ensure food quality and 100% customer satisfaction; including responding to complaints & retaining customers.
Qualifications:
· Management experience in the restaurant industry
· Strong financial acumen
· Ability to promote great customer experiences and generate increases in guest traffic and sales.
· Capable of managing COGS, labor, and overhead expenses to achieve profit plans.
· Good organizational skills
· Preferred skills in Microsoft excel and Word.
- Must have reliable transportation to work, a driver’s license, and proof of insurance.
- Must have telephone or other reliable method of communicating with restaurant staff and company ownership.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
