KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The role will oversee the daily operations of the Rooms Division, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction through efficient management of front office, housekeeping and laundry. The role involves developing and implementing service standards, managing budgets, and leading a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. The Director will also collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency, drive room revenue, and ensure the property maintains its luxury standards.The Director of Rooms will be responsible to collate and analyse the forecast from Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, and all areas under the Rooms Division. Specific responsibilities will include submitting reports to GM/RM in relation to the budget from the Front Office Department, reviewing key assumptions, ATR and occupancy monthly. He / She will be working closely with the Sales & Marketing and Reservations team as well as be also responsible to analyse variances, develop and implement action plans to maximize performance and profitability.
The successful candidate will need to ensure that all adopted policies and procedures are complied with, and that necessary information is provided to Management for the effective decision making and the operation of the hotel.
REQUIREMENTS
At least 5 years’ relevant experience at executive level in a large 5-star international hotel or resort, managing large Engineering functionRooms operations, staff management and development.
Must have Shangri-la experience
Ability to lead a large and diverse team towards the achievement of the Resort’s goals.
Must be energetic and innovative with demonstrated leadership qualities and committed to service excellence.
Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Should be a team player and be flexible to work long hours.
