Farm Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Farm Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. Also familiar with peanut harvesting procedures as this position is for a peanut buying point. This role is essential for minimal processing tasks associated in peanut harvesting. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and effectively. This position requires working with management and seeing that all tasks provided are completed, while also taking on responsibility of problem seeking and solving independently. Must have a valid driver's license. CDL endorsement is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine landscaping tasks including mowing and weeding to maintain the grounds.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of outdoor equipment, with basic knowledge of tools.
• Manage projects related to a peanut buying system, including keeping an organized workflow.
• Work as a team with staff, providing knowledge, guidance, and support as needed.
• Maintain peanut drying and cleaning equipment to ensure proper functioning and upkeep.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities that may impact facility operations.

Experience

• Proven experience in farm grounds maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in English and/or Spanish for effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
• Mechanical knowledge with farm equipment and heavy machinery is highly desirable.
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a harvesting environment.
• Familiarity with logic controllers and their application in outdoor maintenance operations is beneficial.

Pay: $16.08 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week
