While this is a remote position, you must reside in Phoenix as there will be in-person client meetings, hotel site visits, and pre-con meetings you must attend. If you have a DMC background and would be willing to move, we would love to hear from you as well!


Summary:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Account Executive with DMC experience to join their Destination Management Company (DMC) team. In this role, you will drive new business development and nurture existing hotel client relationships by creating tailored solutions that showcase the destination's unique offerings. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in sales, a deep understanding of the DMC industry and its location, with exceptional communication and negotiation skills. This position is perfect for a self-motivated professional passionate about connecting clients with unforgettable experiences.

Responsibilities

• Successfully identify, qualify, and secure DMC business opportunities in a specific market

• Hit or exceed Sales goal of $2 million

• Ensure financial efficiency by achieving individual sales goals and ensuring a profitable program

• Understand and successfully sell the DMC product and its benefits to your assigned hotel

partners/clients

• Collaborate with the National Sales Team on RFPs for the designated market

• Conduct virtual and/or in-person capabilities presentations to clients and/or hoteliers

• Successfully manage a diverse portfolio of projects/programs in cooperation with Sales Account

Coordinators, Creative Services, and Operations Teams through program completion and

reconciliation

• Demonstrate ownership of projects and provide the assigned team with leadership and direction

to ensure milestones are met throughout the lifecycle of the program

• Prioritize tasks and allocate resources accordingly to maximize business growth and ROI

• Secure Business Development opportunities through referrals to other company offices and

affiliates

• Spearhead local hotel/resort referral and partnership opportunities

• Represent the company in the marketplace via involvement in industry memberships, trade shows

and at local industry events

• Mentor, support, and train Account Executives in the department as needed

• Identify strategic selling techniques to meet sales objectives and maintain a profitable program

margin Submit accurate and timely monthly reports as requested by management


Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in DMC (Destination Management) sales is a must

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred (or equivalent experience in the industry)

• Strong knowledge of the local market

• Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and software programs (ie – VIPER, CRM, etc.)

• Strategic thinker and rational decision maker

• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills

• Excellent judgment and conflict-resolution skills

• Able to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment

• Ability to work independently and responsibly in a remote work model

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Travel will be required
