Full Job Description
Shannopin Country Club is looking to hire some reliable and energetic lifeguards to join our team this summer.
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Lifeguard: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- Lifeguard Training Certification (Preferred)
Lifeguard Responsibilities and Duties
Open the pool each day and close it down each evening, depending on schedule and hours
Treat the pool with an appropriate concentration of chemicals on a regular schedule
Monitor pool-related activities closely throughout shift and identify any safety issues
Direct swimmers out of the pool in hazardous conditions
Monitor weather reports closely to ensure safety of guests
Oversee pool parties
Provide swimming lessons when available
Maintain a clean environment in and around the pool
Provide assistance to patrons when appropriate or necessary
First Aid and CPR certifications
Ability to pass pre-employment practical skills test in the water
Experience teaching swim lessons highly desirable
Flexible schedule required

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour (based on previous experience and position)
Schedule:
- Flexible. Pool is open 7 days a week from 11:00am to 8:00pm
