Purpose of this position
The purpose of this position is to assist the activity director in implementing an activity in compliance with requirements to meet residents needs.
Must be committed to person-centered care by embracing and following the facilitys goal of person-centered care by demonstrating and being supportive of individual resident choice and controlled resident-preferred routines in all aspect of daily living.

Qualifications
High school diploma.
Experience in a Therapeutic Recreation Program.
Ability to direct, encourage and motivate residents to participate in meaningful activities.
Ability to read and write, speak and understand English.
Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff.
Ability to organize time and establish priorities.
Ability to teach, direct and supervise people and motivate residents into meaningful activities.
Attributes of flexibility, patience and creativity.
Ability to acquire knowledge of, comprehend and work under Federal, State and local regulation and facility policies, procedures and programs.
Ability to perform effectively under stress.
Ability to direct, delegate and follow-up on programs and care of the residents.
Meet all health requirements imposed by law.
