What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Service Agent - Reservationist position at Shanty Creek?
Position Summary:
Reservation Agents work with potential guests to find what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth reservation process. Agents will proactively navigate the Navis software system to seek potential leads, and accurately respond to inquiries regarding Shanty Creek Resorts and the surrounding area.
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
- Sell the benefits of the Resort to callers and book reservations for social and group guests.
- Answer telephone calls and provide accurate information in a polite and friendly manner.
- Accurately enter information.
- Follow through on all requests by guests within 24 hours when contacted by telephone, or email, and immediately when guest is on property.
- Make sure that all confirmations go out within 24 hours.
- Maintain accurate and precise records.
- Ability to be team member and work together toward goals.
- Know resort and all rate options, including packages.
- Must accomplish all tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Other duties as assigned
Professional Experience:
Past experience in sales and/or reservations preferred, within the Hospitality industry a plus.
Education:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
Requirements:
- Must have knowledge of Shanty Creek Resorts and Surrounding Area
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to easily calculate figures and amounts.
- Must have excellent typing skills (45 wpm minimum)
- Ability to work independently of direct supervision.
- Navis and Maestro software experience a plus
