SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Outside Sales Representative - Pump is pivotal in driving sales growth by establishing and nurturing relationships with customers. This position involves actively engaging with clients, processing sales orders, and ensuring accurate documentation within the company's systems. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on sales opportunities. The candidate should have general knowledge pipe componentry in the pump sector, including ductile and stainless piping, coatings, flanges and other related items.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Proactively engage with potential and existing customers through outbound sales calls, emails, and visits to promote company products and services.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors to enhance sales opportunities and resolve any issues or concerns.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of quotes, orders, and other sales-related documentation.
• Utilize CRM systems to track and document sales activities, customer interactions, and project statuses.
• Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor activities to position company offerings in the market effectively.
• Collaborate with sales management to develop strategies for achieving sales targets and maximizing revenue.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in a related industry.
• Must have general knowledge of vertical turbine pump componentry.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with ERP software.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and resolve issues effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
