Role and ResponsibilitiesThis person must have a strong understanding of production machinery and is responsible for ensuring our company produces high quality parts for our customers on schedule. In-depth training may be required to prepare the Branch Manager for their daily duties. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Organizing and managing day-to-day activities for plant operations.
- Coordinate resolutions for plant issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain proper documentation for all plant related activities.
- Ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are readily available for workers to carry out production processes.
- Ensure manufacturing employees maintain clean and organized workstations.
- Ensuring appropriate levels of discipline are levied as required.
- Schedule routine inspections and maintenance of plant equipment and machinery.
- Assess and evaluate machinery conditions and provide input into machinery upgrade efforts.
- Review, sort, and distribute work orders to production group.
- Overseeing Shipping and Receiving Department to ensure inbound and outbound deliveries prevent customer dissatisfaction and production delays.
- Coordinate and track work schedules to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production and quality targets are achieved.
- Manage office and production staff to ensure duties are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, including the interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, and termination of employees.
- Ensuring proper safety training is conducted, OSHA requirements are met, and all employees are following established safety policies and procedures.
- Overseeing the proper maintenance of Branch assets including the building, property, equipment, and vehicles.
Qualifications and Education Requirements- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing to learn and improve to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- High School diploma or GED required. Adequate work experience may be substituted in lieu of diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a production management role.
Preferred Skills- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with pump and/or steel piping products, including shafting, couplings, and bearings.
- Familiarity with metal fabrication, welding, and fabricated pump heads.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility is an advantage.
- Familiarity of various manufacturing tools and machinery including but not limited to lathes, CNCs, and other mechanical machinery.
- Bilingual language skills in English and Spanish are an advantage.
- Ability to work well with others, be organized and detail oriented.
Additional Notes- Satisfactory pre-employment drug testing is required.
