Summary Objective
The Account Manager is responsible for supporting consulting and new business development initiatives consistent with our goals and objectives. This would include working closely with Benefit Consultants to see presentations, communication materials, and quoting through from start to finish.
The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining a consistent level of client support as questions and projects develop. This would include helping employees with benefits-related questions, working with human resource professionals resolving issues and challenges arising out of their employee benefits, and helping to champion agency communications.
The Account Manager will be a licensed life and health insurance agent and will also achieve AHIP certification. This credentialing allows for our firm to serve the needs of, and place coverage for, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Medicare Part D, Dental, and Vision insurance coverage. The nature of these sales activities are considered inside sales and will support the organic generation of leads through our commercial sales and marking efforts.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills using various communication methods with proficiency using email and other web-based systems
· Maintain exceptional customer service skills to include in-person, virtual, and telephonic capability with a high level of follow-through to see questions and issues resolved
· Attention to detail as it relates to the presentation of insurance and complying with company standards
· Consultative with questions pertaining to prospective and current client’s insurance needs
· Collaboration with President, Consultants, and other Office Personnel to assist in the creation and distribution of company materials, presentations, and events
· Thoughtful organization of company files and drives
· Placing and renewing insurance coverage for Medicare Clients
· Maintain professional appearance and attitude while at work and when representing the company
· Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Canva, PowerPoint, and willingness to independently evaluate and learn new systems that could be beneficial to the firm.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in a professional office environment. This position requires a high level of ethical conduct, financial oversight, the ability to anticipate needs, attention to detail, and willingness to travel if needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position is considered full-time with expected work estimated to be 40 hours per week. Office hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. Meetings could be set outside of normal office hours; if this occurs, the hours for these meetings will be in addition to the normal office hours with consideration given to flex hours.
Education and Qualifications
College Degree or Equivalent- required
3 Years of equivalent work experience- preferred
Accident and Health Insurance License-preferred
AHIP Certification-preferred

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
