What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Shapell Properties Inc?
Come join us! We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our 266-unit Apartment Community located in San Ramon. The successful candidate will have a high level of skill in general maintenance and repairs. We are looking for an individual with good communications skills, attention to detail and a high standard of professionalism to interact effectively with residents, peers, and the management team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing timely and courteous daily response to resident maintenance requests, property clean up and general property maintenance. Ability to diagnose problems and make repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, dry wall, painting, exterior structural, and appliances.
Qualifications:
1 year’s previous maintenance experience preferred. Candidates must be knowledgeable in all facets of maintenance including but not limited to basic knowledge of tools, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall repair, painting, service requests, appliance repair and apartment make-readies. Should be detailed oriented, ability to interact effectively with residents, peers, and management. Works well with little to no supervision and as part of a team. Ability to multi-task and experience with mobile applications such as Outlook and Yardi.
The work schedule is Tuesday - Saturday, 8 am to 5 pm and will include rotation of on-call emergency responses.
