About the Role:
As a Sr. Paralegal , you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team and ensuring the smooth operation of our business. Your major end result will be to provide comprehensive legal assistance and support to our attorneys, enabling them to effectively represent our organization. You will be responsible for managing a wide range of legal tasks, including conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and assisting with the preparation of cases for trial. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be essential in maintaining accurate and up-to-date legal files and documentation. By effectively managing legal processes and providing high-quality support, you will contribute to the overall success of our legal team and organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience as a paralegal
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures
- Proficiency drafting legal documents for commercial leasing and General transactions relating to construction.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
- Experience working in Property management or corporate legal department.
- Familiarity with Acquisitions and Dispositions, Title issues, Financing, Employee or employee matters, Environmental Issues.
- Knowledge drafting and filing new corporate formation documents, amendments to existing corporate formation documents corporate minutes, annual statements and filings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support attorneys in case preparation.
- Draft and review legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and pleadings.
- Assist attorneys in preparing cases for trial, including organizing exhibits, documents, and other evidence.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal files and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
