The Plant Manager will coordinate and oversee all daily operations of our Decatur plant and employees. This professional multitasker will coordinate the plant’s operational processes to ensure compliance with company objectives, quality systems, and customer expectations.

What You’ll Do at Shapiro
- Manage the daily operations schedule to set-up plant according to current schedule needs
- Verify all paperwork for both inbound and outbound loads
- Responsible for accurate and reliable physical inventory records
- Oversee preventative maintenance and calibration of the plant equipment
- Maintain focus on meeting plant goals in safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost
- Ensure that proper training with documentation is executed
- Review key metrics and recommend any changes or improvements
- Understand, follow, and enforce all established policies, procedures, and recognized practices
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus

Need to Have
- 5 years of managerial experience
- Must be able to demonstrate solid leadership skills and lead by example
- Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate internally and externally
- Proven planning and organization skills
- Driven by innovation, performance, and quality
