Floating Caregivers will need to be available for days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holiday shifts as required by the supervisor.

Floating Caregivers Responsibilities:
Shift Coverage: Be available to fill in for various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on the facility's staffing needs.
Assist Clients: Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal assistance, and mobility support, ensuring participants comfort and well-being. (IADL’s) may need to provide transportation to work, recreational activities, medical appointments, etc.
Companionship: Engage participants in meaningful conversations and activities to promote social interaction and emotional support, fostering a sense of community.
Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and safe environment, including assisting with infection control protocols and ensuring the comfort and cleanliness of resident rooms.
Communication: Document observations, care provided, and any changes in participants mental, physical or emotional conditions accurately and promptly, ensuring effective communication with the caregiving team.
Ability to read body language, assess moods and possible trouble areas, and diffuse potentially unsafe situations.
Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing schedules and willingness to work on an on-call, as-needed basis to meet the facility's staffing requirements.
Empathy: Show a genuine empathy for clients and a commitment to providing them with the highest quality of care.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with residents and the healthcare team.
Team Player: Collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with different caregivers and staff members to maintain the continuity of care.
Floating Caregivers Qualifications:
Caregiver Experience: 1 year of experience working with individuals with the elderly or intellectual and developmental disabilities or related field is preferred.
Caregiver / Job Criteria: Must pass a criminal background check, and name is not found on the Direct Service Workers Registry. Share Care USA is required to check the registry every six months to ensure the names of their current employees have not been placed on the registry since the date of hire.
Must be able to provide transportation to participants as part of this position, transportation must be properly licensed and inspected in accordance with state law which includes current and valid Driver’s License, current and valid Car Registration, current and valid inspection sticker, current and valid liability insurance.
The transportation must be maintained in an operational condition, operated at an internal temperature that does not compromise the health, safety or needs of the client (working air conditioner / working heater), vehicle must maintain working available seatbelts for all riders
Upon hire, and annual thereafter, employees must provide copies of all required documents to the employer yearly or as updated and understand that a driving history record check will be conducted.

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
