Athea Laboratories, a leader in specialty chemical product manufacturing, is seeking a Production Maintenance Assistant to join our Operations Team at our 7855 N Faulkner Rd facility.
This role ensures the efficient operation of machinery and systems to meet production targets. Responsibilities include setting parameters, monitoring performance, and adjusting equipment as needed. The technician also trains operators on changeover procedures and performs routine maintenance, such as lubrication and basic part replacements. Working closely with operators and maintenance teams, they help troubleshoot issues and minimize downtime, occasionally assisting with complex repairs or installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and configure machinery, adjusting settings for product specifications and production lines.
- Operate equipment, including perforating/rewind, filling, printing, sealing, labeling, and transfer pumps.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during changeovers, such as misalignment or equipment malfunctions.
- Train production staff on machine operation and best practices for safety and efficiency.
- Assist maintenance technicians with complex repairs and system malfunctions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in using hand, power, and measuring tools.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow complex instructions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled in multitasking and prioritizing tasks.
