We have immediate openings for Bilingual RN Supervisors at the following sites:
(2) Costa Mesa - Primary Care, Mon - Sat 2 shifts between 8am - 8pm. Initially Shifts will be Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm
(1) El Sol/Santa Ana - Primary Care, Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm
These sites are family practice and you must be comfortable working with all ages.
JOB SUMMARY: The RN Supervisor (Registered Nurse) assumes the responsibility for application of nursing and clinical processes and delivery of quality patient care in clinic under the supervision of a RN Clinical Manager or Senior Nurse Manager. This position has accountability of the nursing process and the delivery of efficient patient care as defined in the Registered Nurse (RN) Scope of Practice. The RN Supervisor supports patient evaluation, and carries out related nursing intervention, supports nursing patient evaluation, efficient system applications and recording of patient care/behavior and provides oversite of assigned clinical team members. This position works collaboratively with clinic interdisciplinary team members, medical staff, clinical operations, and with the Administrative/Operational management teams to ensure achievement of patient, clinical or program goals as appropriate. Provides clinical care and demonstrated clinical competency for area of primary care or specialty patient populations. Application of and knowledge of regulatory requirements in delegation of tasks and in documentation. Assist in the development and implementation of quality, cost-effective, efficient systems and protocols for standardizing processes of patient care at clinics. Nursing job duties are to comply with the Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, regulatory agencies, CMS 42 CFR Part 460 regulatory requirements as appropriate. The plan for provision of nursing care to patients aligns with the company Code of Conduct, professional and educational standards requirements as needed. The Registered Nurse Supervisor works in the team-based model of care.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- · Manages the care of patients in collaboration with other health professionals and members of the health care team in order to make decisions about treatment and attain health goals.
- · Performs clinical patient care nursing duties within the scope of practice for Registered Nursing, with high integrity, quality, and meet nursing or population care standards.
- · Performs screening, triage, assessment and/or patient intake for patient as required by job duties or responsibilities.
- · Utilizes patient medical information, conducts nursing assessments, evaluates current treatment plan, (which may include medications, therapies, devices and/or interventions) to:
- Prepare for and/or provide care based upon patient visit or encounter needs.
- Obtain and evaluate diagnostic results as needed, i.e. vital signs, TB skin testing,
- Evaluate and/or provide patient/family teaching or skill validation i.e. fall prevention,
- Performs therapeutic point of care diagnostic testing as ordered for patients, i.e. Blood Glucose, UA,
- · Performs nursing procedures utilizing evidence based practice guidelines or clinical standards. Examples: medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, positioning, personal care,
- · Participates in and supports on-going efforts to ensure infectious diseases control program is applied for all clinic experiences.
- · Communicates, coordinates and consults with members of the health team while performing nursing responsibilities.
- · Assist in the development and implementation of quality, cost-effective, efficient systems and protocols for standardizing processes of patient care at clinics.
- · Ensures the patient care nursing staff provides the highest quality of care and are in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, NCQA, federal, state and/or local regulatory requirements.
- · Plans, organizes, and oversees nursing and back office clinical staff to provide quality patient care.
- · Participates and conducts MA, LVN and RN clinical competency skills training and assessments.
- · Complies with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and participates in the preparation and conduction of clinic or program regulatory audits.
- · Responds to all medical emergencies and follows process outlined by Share Ourselves Emergency procedures.
- · Required member of the clinic interdisciplinary team and participate in team based care meetings for care coordination, daily operations, care planning and service delivery.
- · Responsible for preparation and assists management for regulatory/quality audits.
- · Provides leadership in clinical problem solving by maintaining clinical skill and knowledge necessary to set standard and work in clinical areas of nursing.
- · Works collaboratively with Clinic Leadership in planning and implementing medical services.
- · Monitors quality and compliance with all nursing standards (including, but not limited to, audits for EHR nursing documentation and clinic audits.)
- · Follow up on Registry patients (Abnormal Paps, Mammograms, Colorectal, and Lab Results) by determining appropriate next actions and contacting patient to provide information and scheduling assistance as necessary.
- · Track patients with a history of abnormal registry results to ensure compliance with recommended actions.
- · Schedule patients with specialty providers as needed.
- · Follow-up on in-basket message and management tasks.
- · Provide input to applicable budget expense and works with nurse managers to identify and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve quality.
- · Follows up with Care Teams for patient flow.
- · May work outside normal business hours on request or to complete tasks.
- · Attends staff and clinic meetings as requested.
- · May drive to trainings or other work sites as needed
- · Perform other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES
- Oversees the clinic department’s daily staffing requirements, schedules and time off of site clinical back office team members to include RN, LVN, CPSP coordinator and Medical Assistants
- Maintains regulatory compliance of all back office/nursing activities (i.e. Logs, QC’s, and Nursing Stock Meds) and oversee compliance at designated site(s).
- In collaboration with Nurse Managers completes performance evaluations for assigned clinical team members including Medical Assistant, LVNs and RNs on her/his team
- Leads and mentors clinical back office team members to excellent performance and serves as a role model to the clinic site team..
- Reviews payroll system timecards for direct reports and ensures compliance and accuracy of time and attendance data for payroll processing, reports corrections payroll processing.
- Evaluates and schedules in-service/training necessary to keep the staff current.
- Participates in process of screening, interview and hiring site clinical back officec team in collaboration with Nurse Managers, as assigned
- Responsible for orientation, skill assessment, mentorship and professional development of site clinical back office team members.
- Ensures department activities and records are in adherence to all licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Implements and interprets organizational policies and procedures and applicable standards and regulations.
- Directly assists back office staff with questions, issues or patient-related conflicts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A demonstrated ability to provide consistent quality patient care with a keen eye for detail, organizational skills and effective time management
- Experience guiding and mentoring clinical support team members on proper treatment procedures
- A positive attitude and a propensity for leadership and team-building with the ability to problem-solve under pressure.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Associate Degree required; BSN or MSN strongly preferred
- Current CA State Board of Nursing Registered Nurse License without restrictions required
- Minimum of 2 (two) years clinical experience as RN in primary care or ambulatory care environment with proficient clinical skills
- Supervisor and/or nursing leadership experience preferred
- Strong Experience with Electronic Health Records system, Epic preferred
- Current American Heart Associate Basic Life Support Card (BLS)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Works successfully and respectfully with patients of diverse backgrounds and cultures; including those experiencing homelessness, mental illness or substance abuse
- Knowledge of the Patient Centered Medical Home model of care
- Successfully completes clinical competency validation including special care and management of equipment
- Achieves proficiency with EHR within three months of training
- Uses Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, internet, and Practice Management Systems efficiently; accurate keyboard skills

The pay range for this position will depend upon years of experience, skill set and education.
