Job Summary
This is an on site position opening only. We are continuing to grow and searching for a competent Billing specialist to undertake a variety of financial and non-financial tasks in order to help guarantee the company’s revenues. You will handle the processing of incoming billing forms along with the issuing of necessary paperwork, as well as follow up on denied claims. Responsible for billing processes under the direct and indirect supervision of the department lead. The Ambulance Billing Specialist completes all aspects of ambulance coding and billing as outlined below.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify completion of run reports daily and from the previous days, not to exceed 3 business days from receipt.
- Import charts from various Epcr software programs.
- Code and bill in accordance with applicable bundle bill agreements and/or private contracts.
- Follow up on claims denials.
- Enter necessary patient information into the billing system.
- Submit to all insurances and contracts.
- Complete all billing, electronic and paper.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Authority
The Billing Specialist exercises full responsibility over all patient care coding and billing processing.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of ICD-10 codes.
- Must have knowledge of EOB posting and processing denials and appeals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up.
- Excellent organizational skills, demonstrated initiative, good judgment, and flexibility.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 38 per week
