Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Qualifications
Role and Responsibilities
Program
- Manage supports and services ensuring health and safety for 1 individual in a 24-hour 1:1 or 2:1 support setting
- Attend individuals medical appointments as directed by the Program Specialist
- Ensure the individuals residences are safe, homelike, and reflect the individuals preferences
- Assist in the development of a team focused on supporting the individual
- Complete scheduled cleaning tasks as applicable for the individuals home
- Communicate effectively with next shift at shift change for individuals behavior and agenda
- De-escalate individuals as needed to ensure health and safety for individual and community
- Read the individuals ISP and BSP and ensure understanding
- Provide transportation to the individual in the community setting
- Provide personal care and assistance with tasks of daily living as outlined in the individuals ISP and BSP
- Attend the Individuals monthly Circle meetings as directed by the Program Specialist
- Support individual appropriate relationships and communications
- Support individuals interests and partner with the supervising Program Specialist to find activities and volunteering opportunities for the individual
Administrative
- Accurately punch in and out of time clock through phone application
- Verify timecard as needed in a timely fashion
- Complete required shift notes as instructed by Program Specialist immediately after end of shift
- Participate in yearly training as instructed by Training Coordinator
- Follow organizational policies and procedures
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license

- Previous Residential DSP experience
Salary : $19 - $22
