JOB SUMMARY
This position identifies, manages, and refers health concerns, and assists clients and residents in achieving and maintaining sobriety through therapeutic relationships and the promotion of healthy behaviors.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Shift: M-F 8am-5pm
The Manager of Nursing supervises various roles, including but not limited to:
· Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and CMAs
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Provide direct supervision and coaching to the Nurses/LPNs.
· Gives constructive feedback when applicable.
· Ensures appropriate nursing protocols are consistently being followed.
· Conducts education on best practices in the clinical services field.
· Tracking of certifications with staff.
· Helps implement efficiency, system improvement and cost saving strategies.
· Maintains good relationships between ShareHouse and outside community partners (pharmacies, labs, public health, etc.).
· Provide and maintain reliable, prompt attendance, and ability to work the schedule dictated by business necessity.
· Create and promote consistency per ShareHouse location regarding policy and procedures.
· Facilitate and assign nursing staff to group education.
· Monitor UA and BA process, procedures, and results.
· Orders medical supplies.
· Facilitates department meetings.
· Develops CMA1 certification process and do medication training with Behavioral Health Technicians.
· Works with admissions on client’s medical admission criteria.
· Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
PERIODIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversee drug/alcohol testing process to ensure compliance and continued sobriety of residents
· Work with HR and the Senior Leadership Team to recruit and retain top level talent
· Holds staff accountable to ShareHouse policies and standards
· Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· Requires Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or Associates of Science from an accredited institution.
· 5 years of relevant work experience
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATES
· Must possess current North Dakota Registered Nursing License
· Must be CPR certified
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
· Possess working familiarly with and knowledge of state and Federal regulations, and company policies/procedures that apply to healthcare and chemical dependency treatment
· Ability to read, analyze and interpret business communication
· Ability to communicate in both written and oral forms clearly and effectively
· Ability to comprehend written and oral communication
· Demonstrate a high level of skill with interpersonal relationship-building
· Ability to use independent judgment to solve problems
· Ability to management multiple, competing tasks and demands and manage time efficiently
· Ability to establish relationships with clients, peers, direct reports, and management
· Ability to type/keyboard with minimal errors
