Position Overview :
As the Development Director for Sharing Excess, Nourhan oversees the entire grants lifecycle, manages key donor relationships, and develops comprehensive fundraising strategies. Nourhan plays a vital role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization by identifying new funding opportunities, cultivating relationships with donors, and collaborating with the executive team to drive strategic growth. Her leadership extends to supervising the Community Engagement Department and contributing to the overall development and expansion of Sharing Excess.
Core Responsibilities :
Grant Management :
- Oversee the complete grants lifecycle : sourcing, reviewing, drafting, and submitting grant applications on time.
- Analyze grant outcomes (wins / losses) and provide reports on findings for continuous improvement.
- Maintain communication with foundations, identifying new grant opportunities and following up on submitted applications.
- Develop necessary documentation, including attachments, project budgets, and letters of support.
- Supervise the Grant Writer and consultants involved in the grants process.
