Loader Operator Team Lead 2nd Shift - 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM M-F

Job Summary:
Operates straight or an articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers, or chutes, and to load trucks or railcars: Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns the steering wheel to operate a loader.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate Industrial Front End Loader to load cullet (crushed glass) and perform general maintenance on equipment.
- Serving as Team Lead on 2nd Shift with a team of 2 to 3 people.
- Must be trained according to company safety standards
- Inspect loader prior to shift start and report unsafe issues
- Fuel loader using safe practices
- Load hoppers with assigned material for production
- Track load count per material processed
- Move material to assigned bunkers or staging area
- Report incidents/accidents/near miss to Plant Supervisor
- Machine Operating as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity and cost
- Operate a Front End Loader safely and efficiently.
- Possess a “continuous improvement” attitude
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promotes a safe work environment
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to follow instructions for operating equipment and complete simple records
- Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
- Forklift certification per (OSHA) standards
