We are currently reviewing Medication Technician applicants for our Assisted Living, and scheduling interviews.
If you want to work with a fun team, while getting to deliver true resident centered care, we are the company for you! The right candidate will have a great attitude and be willing to deliver superior customer service to our residents and their families.
Duties
- Administer medications to patients according to prescribed dosages and schedules
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
- Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates
- Document all medication administration and patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures
- Ability to perform physical examinations and accurately record vital signs
- Knowledge of different body systems and their functions
- Experience in senior care or memory care settings is preferred
- Familiarity with tube feeding procedures and protocols
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical documentation
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
