Job Overview
As a Produce Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our produce department is well-stocked, organized, and appealing to customers. Duties
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing produce deliveries to ensure quality standards are met.
- Organize and maintain the produce displays to create an attractive shopping experience for customers.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment as needed.
- Communicate with customers to provide information about produce items, including pricing, freshness, and preparation tips.
- Package produce items efficiently while minimizing waste and ensuring product quality.
- Monitor product freshness and rotate stock regularly to prevent spoilage.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
- Perform regular cleaning of the produce area to uphold health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or a warehouse environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic knowledge of retail math for pricing and inventory management.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with fresh produce handling practices is beneficial.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn about various types of produce are essential for success in this role.
