Sharon Public Schools Nutrition Program seeks self-motivated, energetic staff to work in a
high-volume, fast-paced kitchen. This position follows policies and procedures for preparing,
serving, and distributing food items and meals to students and staff. This position is 25-30 hours
and follows an academic calendar.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of food preparation.
- Knowledge of food service sanitation standards, including procedures to prevent
- contamination, spoilage, and waste and HACCP regulations.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to do tasks with several steps and to follow an established sequence of tasks with
- minimal supervision.
- ServeSafe Certification training preferred
- Primary Responsibilities include...
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, recipe instructions,operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing with students, department employees, school faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Demonstrate pleasant, customer-oriented, interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to use a Point of Sale system and register
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
- Perform a variety of tasks in a timely manner.
- You must be dependable.
Successful candidates will require CORI and SAFIS Fingerprinting Background check.
