Salary Range : $23.864 - $33.065 (based on level of experience)

Job Summary : The Medical Coder plays a crucial role in our organization by ensuring the quality and accuracy of coding in patient medical records, translating medical services into codes for reimbursement purposes, and upholding the highest standards of patient and employee confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct accurate audits and code patient encounters in EMR / EPM.
- Input charges and adjustments accurately.
- Match appropriate procedure with diagnosis code per medical chart documentation.
- Ensure coding compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain current knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10 coding, Medicare guidelines, risk adjustment rules, and regulations including AHAs and HCC coding.
- Increase revenue by identifying chronic conditions not currently captured in documentation.
- Perform coding audits for physician documentation.
- Assist practices, in conjunction with the billing manager, to ensure accurate and appropriate coding.
- Assist Billing Account Representatives with coding-related patient inquiries.
- Complete various assigned tasks.
