Hourly Range: $25-$35 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Job Description:
As a Referral Coordinator, you will be instrumental in providing a high level of customer service and administrative support, ensuring the efficient operation of our clinic. You will be the backbone of our operations, handling critical tasks that impact patient care and clinic efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and submit various authorizations (HMO, Military, PPO imaging).
- Manage and fax necessary paperwork to specialists, including documentation of all communications.
- Handle medication prior authorizations.
- Provide exceptional customer service over the phone and in person.
- Inform patients about their approval statuses and assist with related inquiries.
- Verify insurance eligibility and complete various health forms.
- Educate patients about expected call back times and practice policies.
- Engage in team-based care and uphold our Service Excellence standards (AIDET).
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and office policies.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; medical background preferred.
- At least one year of experience in the medical field.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-9 coding is advantageous.
Competencies & Success Factors:
- Strong knowledge of clinic policies, medical terminology, and insurance practices.
- Proficient in office management and customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
- Capable of critical thinking and problem-solving to ensure coordinated care.
- Proficiency in typing, editing, and using multi-line phone systems.
