This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications that support trading, risk management, and back-office accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain derivatives accounting systems using C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework.
- Work closely with business analysts, accountants, and traders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement trade processing, valuation models, P&L calculations, and reporting within the system.
- Integrate with market data providers, risk engines, and other financial systems using APIs, FIX, and messaging protocols.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory standards related to derivatives accounting.
- Optimize system performance and scalability for high-volume data processing.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment automation.
- Maintain system documentation and provide support for production issues.
- 5 years of experience in C# .NET development (preferably .NET Core).
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and SOLID principles.
- Experience working with SQL Server or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with derivatives accounting principles (e.g., FASB ASC 815, IFRS 9, hedge accounting, fair value measurement).
- Hands-on experience with trade lifecycle management, P&L attribution, and risk management systems.
- Understanding of financial instruments such as swaps, options, futures, and forwards.
- Experience integrating with financial data providers (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.).
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
- Excellent communication and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
