Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote (Candidates within 50 miles of Herndon, VA, required to be in-office 1-2 days per week)

Employment Type: Contract (Potential for Full-Time Conversion)

Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizen

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions that support critical business applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science, hands-on experience with Kubernetes, and exposure to Fieldglass.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize and enhance software implementation projects.
• Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop tailored software solutions.
• Evaluate and implement enhancement requests, ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Customize system software to meet client specifications and industry standards.
• Develop and execute detailed software specifications and test plans.
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot existing production systems.
• Create migration packages for system, user testing, and deployment.
• Perform quality assurance reviews and validate post-implementation performance.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 0-2 years of experience in software development, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience in large-scale software development and system design.
• Proficiency in programming and unit testing methodologies.
• 3-4 years of experience with Kubernetes.
• 1-2 years of experience with Fieldglass.
