1.0 FTE Full-Time OB / GYN

SRSMG is a large, physician-led, multi-specialty group that offers patients convenient, coordinated & integrated care
Group provides patients a full range of services across 29 different specialties
All clinics have a lead RN, triage RN, LVNs and 1 : 1 Provider / MA ratio plus operations team
Integrated EMR system allows for seamless communication among group PCP's & specialists
Group has 200 primary care providers throughout the county; built in referral system

Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns is Southern California’s only standalone women’s hospital. SMB is part of Sharp HealthCare, is a 206 bed, not for profit hospital delivering more babies than any other hospital in California.

Position Details :

Large OBGYN department, close to 40 providers

Group has 19 clinics in San Diego with 7 sites offering both OB and GYN services

Looking to add a dedicated General OBGYN to our team

Average work week is 60% office based | 40% inpatient based

Day call is 12 hours, equally divided amongst the providers - 7am-7pm

Covering 1 hospital : Sharp Mary Birch

Full specialty back up including 24 hour perinatal and GYN / ONC service with dedicated OB anesthesia

On-site overnight room for provider

Hospital delivers ~9,000 babies per year, highest volume in the state of California!

Group delivers ~4,000 babies per year

Southern California’s largest Level III NICU, plus advanced care for women experiencing high-risk pregnancy

Group has block time for surgeries with 2 robots at SMB

Requirements :

Comfortable covering a busy L&D

Must be able to receive privileges for basic laparoscopy including management of ectopic pregnancies (must have completed 10 cases within the last 2 years to qualify)

Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible to be considered

Annual base salary range $280,000.00. The posted annual salary is the annual base compensation only. The amount does not include productivity, bonuses or incentives.
