Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns is Southern California’s only standalone women’s hospital. SMB is part of Sharp HealthCare, is a 206 bed, not for profit hospital delivering more babies than any other hospital in California.
Position Details :
- 3 shifts / week (34 hours) with the option to work 1 shift in clinic / week
- Salary Range Approx : $350,000 per year. Compensation is subject to the individual department / division compensation plans. More information is discussed during the recruitment process.

- Hospital shifts : 7 : 00pm to 7 : 00am
- Clinic shifts : 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm (optional)
- Full specialty back up including 24 hr perinatal and GYN / ONC service w / dedicated OB anesthesia
- Responsible for L&D, triage, postpartum, ED Calls and occasional GYN emergency surgery (ectopic)
- Most calls taken with experienced CNM’s. Back-up physicians always available
- On-site overnight provider room
- Hospital delivers ~9,000 babies per year, highest volume in the state of California!
- Group delivers ~4,000 babies per year
- Southern California’s largest Level III NICU, plus advanced care for high-risk pregnancy
