SUMMARY
Manages routine cleaning and housekeeping activities for all buildings' interiors and exteriors by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Cleans lunchrooms, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, stairways, offices, locker rooms and other non-production areas.
Sweeps, scrubs, mops, waxes, and polishes floor.
Cleans rugs, carpets, and furniture.
Ensures cleaning equipment is cleaned and stored following use.
Dusts furniture and office equipment.
Cleans lunchroom tables, counter surfaces, walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
Cleans windows, door panels, and sills.
Empties office wastebaskets.
Cleans parking lots and outside grounds as required.
Remove and dispose of debris or trash to disposal area.
Replenishes products and supplies in assigned areas.
Tracks cleaning supplies inventory and informs supervisor what needs to be procured.
Assists Facilities Department with setting up tables and chairs for meetings and training functions.
Alerts the Facilities Department concerning the need for repairs or additions to the building operating systems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
HS diploma or GED. No prior experience or training necessary.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to speak and communicate in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
