Senior Accountant - Reporting

Summary

Responsible for the accounting and financial reporting activities of the Company. Actively participates as an integral member of the Company’s Finance team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the accounting (day-to-day) operations and period-end closing process.

• Monthly General Ledger Accounting entries and timely account analysis and reconciliations
• Monthly completion of Commission reporting
• Monthly completion of balance sheet account reconciliation
• Weekly billing for Clinical and Commercial production
• Support for monthly financial reporting requirements
• Special projects and/or additional tasks as may be assigned.
• Support an Environment of Continuous Improvement and Process Change. Comfortable in not only identifying improvements but leading organization through process changes.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, including, but not limited to tax.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS
• Maintain strong internal control environment and utilize best practices while striving for Continuous Improvement
  
  

Researches, investigates, establishes and/or recommends improvements and/or different methods of accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelors’ Degree (B.S. in Finance or Accounting preferred) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and/or MBA desirable.
• 7 years of experience in Accounting, Finance related field, preferably in pharmaceutical clinical supplies or manufacturing. Public Accounting Experience Desirable, but not required.
• 3 years managing accounting functions.
• Strong organizational, team development and time management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication is required to communicate with the team, peers, management and external contacts.
• Excellent technology skills, including proficiency with Excel and strong working knowledge of SAP, Cognos, SMARTSHEETS.
  
  

Language Skills:

Strong ability to read, write and comprehend the English language, read and interpret legal and technical documents, and write routine correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the company. Good interpersonal skills.

Computer Skills:

Proficient with Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of ERP systems is required, with SAP S4 HANA experience a highly desirable advantage. Experience with SMARTSHEETS is desirable.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to think creatively, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to use mathematical and financial concepts including but not limited to discounted cash flow, present values (NPV and IRR) and statistics. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to handle multiple tasks and make sound decisions.

Must have valid driver’s license and be able to travel to other Sharp locations.
