Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled MEP Designer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate should have the ability to generate construction documents using AutoCAD software from marked-up prints, engineering notes, and / or verbal instructions. In this role you will be assisting in the development of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing code analysis and design documents, while progressively accepting more responsibility. Design documents will include drawings and specifications including sewer and domestic water plans, isometric riser diagram plans, ductwork and air distribution plans, power plans, lighting plans, fire alarm plans, and special systems plans.

Primary Responsibilities

• Read, manage, layout, and understand architectural / engineering blueprints.
• Prepare design concepts under the direction and guidance of the Engineer / s.
• Produce MEP drawings for Permitting, Bidding and Construction for a wide range of projects in AutoCAD.
• Company will provide on the job training of MEP System design and code requirements.
• Consult with Engineer / s for approval of basic concepts. Exercise independent judgment in selecting and interpreting data based on knowledge of the design intent.
• Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and conferring with the Engineer / s.
• Ensure drawing accuracy and clarity.
• Print, scan, & document transmission.

• Attend job coordination meetings.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes and standards.
• Conduct thorough reviews of drawings for accuracy and completeness before final submission.
• Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and writing reports as needed.
