Full-Time Senior Project Manager based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Purpose
The purpose of this position is to lead large-scale tenant improvement and ground-up projects in all capacities for clients with direct accountability for project delivery, represent the firm in its growth, and provide leadership and guidance to other team members.
Experience
• Project management or related field experience.
• Experience with all phases of the Development Process.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, or related field.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, or related field
Skills
• Self-disciplined and motivated.
• Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
• Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
• Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service.
• Expert skills in all office software systems, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Project, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Preferred: Fluency in the Spanish language.
• Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) and LEED AP.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare capital expenditure budgets and forecasts.
• Proactively seek opportunities to assist the project team in providing superior client services.
• Ensure contract process is followed; support the project management team to ensure work is not started without proper client authorization and documentation.
• Maintain Project Schedules.
• Maintain project files up to date and complete using the approved filing system.
• Execute Project Closeout procedures ensuring all deadlines are met. Utilize the contract compliance checklist to confirm all items are complete before submitting for final closure.
• Exhibit developing experience and competence in the ability to perform project management activities from the project due diligence and planning through closure.
• Ensure a clear understanding of work requested/required deadlines. Communicate status and completion of the assignment to requesting project manager.
• Execute complete and error-free work assignments as directed.
• Track key milestone dates for multiple projects in the client’s database.
• Provide timely and accurate project documentation and reporting.
• Ability to maintain data integrity for individual projects within the project tracking system.
• Strong understanding of personal role and services of Sharpe Project Developments.
• Attendance of networking and marketing-related events.
• Preparation of weekly Meeting Minutes and Field Reports.
• General office duties as necessary.
• Performs additional job duties as requested.
