ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following.
- Oversee plant operations according to required safety measures.
- Maintain record of readings for all compressors and processing equipment and ensure optimal level of production.
- Monitor and troubleshoot operating equipment.
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors for all activities.
- Ensure plant adheres to safety and environmental rules.
- Program and operate the facility’s system that operates the machinery, to start up the plant, shut it down and run the production of material.
- Identify process deviations and perform root cause/corrective action.
- Conduction inspections of all key process points to identify any abnormalities and make any necessary machinery and/or equipment adjustments and implement proper response, including notifying management.
- Observe gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Manage all boilers and associate auxiliary equipment and maintain plant operations.
- Maintain boiler operations safely and manage all power consumption.
- Manage all plant operation and emission data and maintain safety and efficiency.
- Documents work by completing paperwork on each shift and maintaining files.
- Turns in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
- Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as necessary. Shift work necessary.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree or equivalent from a Technical / Trade School or five (5) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Sound knowledge of industrial plant systems.
- Good mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting abilities.
- Basic math skills and the ability to compute decimals and percentages.
- Basic computer skills
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Experience in maintenance crafts and mechanical repair (electrical and welding); electrical trouble shooting; reading and interpreting electrical drawings.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and ability to stand for periods of up to 3 hours
- Proven ability to work well with others, self-motivated, work with little or no supervision, multitask and prioritize daily
- Hydraulic and conveyor experience a plus.
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to climb and work in elevated locations.
- Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as necessary. Shift-work necessary. Work in this position is performed in a plant processing environment and subject to mandatory, regular medical screening as outlined in the company safety programs that is position related and consistent with business necessity.
