Duties and Responsibilities
Description
The acupuncturist supports the collaborative care team—primary care provider, chiropractor and patient—through regular visits with assigned patients. The acupuncturist works with the care team on appropriate treatment strategies, also providing the care team with educational support on managing health conditions.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual treatment needs.
Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and health goals.
Administer acupuncture treatments using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Utilize various techniques to address specific pain management issues.
Provide education to patients regarding their treatment options and overall wellness strategies.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with clinic policies.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in acupuncture practices and relevant medical terminology.
Requirements
Valid certification as an Acupuncturist from an accredited institution.
Proficient in pain management techniques and patient assessment skills.
Knowledge of physiology and ability to perform physical examinations.
Strong patient service orientation with excellent communication skills.
CPR Certification.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to acupuncture and holistic health practices.
Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe treatment environment.
Ability to build rapport with patients and provide empathetic care.
