Inventory Control Supervisor
Inventory Control Supervisor, overseeing a company's inventory levels, ensuring accuracy by monitoring stock levels, identifying discrepancies, and coordinating with suppliers to maintain appropriate stock levels while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency; this includes tasks like performing regular inventory audits, analyzing data to identify trends, and implementing strategies to improve overall inventory control processes.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily purchasing, receiving, and entry operations.
- Manage weekly & yearly inventory counts, reconciling and closing of inventories
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, measuring, etc)
- Monitoring supplier performance and lead times to ensure timely deliveries
- Enter orders into the fulfillment system for purchasing, and send them out to vendors, with follow-up of confirmations
- Manage SKUs to support new products.
- Review discrepancies with receiving & invoicing daily accuracy of product availability, descriptions of product are accurate, and pricing is properly updated.
- Recommend resolution with our system software on invoicing, sales, and inventory with accounting for best performance for all departments.
- Execute mapping of the main warehouse.
- Oversees time off requests to avoid overlapping and coverage coordination.
- Time management, real-time decision making, and multi-tasking are critical.
- Ensuring that all operations processes meet company standards and are compliant with regulations such as OSHA, EPA, or FAA
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with different departments.
- Manage multiple tasks concurrently, such as supervising staff, managing inventory, and liaising with suppliers.
- Maintain accurate stock levels to meet customer demand.
- Demonstrate attention to detail in stock ordering to minimize discrepancies.
- Proactively identify and address potential supply chain issues.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of related experience
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience in negotiating price and terms of purchase orders
- Excellent organizational skills
- Quick Books skills
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Functional knowledge of Excel and Word docs
- Construction experience a plus
- Pool experience a plus
