Shasta orthopedics is seeking a nurse practitioner to join the podiatry team in our private practice group. We have been an independent private practice in the North State area of Northern California for over 30 years. We are committed to providing high-quality and convenient orthopedic and musculoskeletal care to our patients. We are a multidisciplinary group, offering orthopedics, nonoperative sports medicine, podiatry, interventional pain management, chiropractic, and physical therapy in one practice.
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our foot and ankle surgery podiatry practice. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to our patients, assisting with both new and follow-up appointments, as well as pre and post-operative care.
**Responsibilities:**
**Patient Assessment and Care:**
Conduct thorough assessments of new and existing patients, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing as needed. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the attending podiatrist.
**Pre-Operative Care:**
Assist in evaluating patients scheduled for foot and ankle surgeries. Educate patients on pre-operative instructions, medications, and any necessary preparations. Ensure all pre-operative assessments are completed accurately and timely.
**Post-Operative Care:** Monitor patients following surgery to assess for complications, manage pain, and promote optimal healing. Provide patient education on post-operative care instructions, including wound care, medication management, and activity restrictions.
**Patient Education:** Offer comprehensive education to patients and their families regarding foot and ankle conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures. Address any questions or concerns to ensure patients are well-informed and engaged in their care.
**Collaborative Care:** Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including podiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and medical assistants, to coordinate patient care and facilitate seamless transitions between different phases of treatment.
**Documentation and Record-Keeping:** Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient encounters, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in compliance with regulatory standards and practice protocols

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
