Responsibilities
The Behavioral Health Supervisor oversees and supports Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) within the Behavioral Health Unit. This role ensures high-quality patient care by maintaining compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. The supervisor provides leadership, training, and mentorship to staff while fostering a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. The Unit Supervisor will provide direct communication with the Director of the Center for Behavior Health
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Required
1. Must have a current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)2. Minimum 2 years of experience in behavioral health, psychiatric care, or a related field3. Current BLS certification and maintain current4. Assaultive behavior management training within 30 days of hire5. Previous leadership or supervisory experience6. Effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills7. Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines
Preferred
1. Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $32.00 to $41.50. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
