Job Summary
The IT Specialist (ITS) will assist the IT Manager (ITM) in supporting the technology needs of the Company’s end users, which consists approximately 250 people across multiple office and jobsite locations in Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. The ITS is responsible for providing initial direct or remote resolution of end user issues within his or her scope of authority and / or ability, and coordinating resolution of issues beyond this scope. The ITS will provide job site support and assist the ITM with lifecycle management of computers, imaging peripherals and mobile devices. The ITS will maintain situational awareness to identify and report issues that are not in compliance with established policy or that pose a threat to the effectiveness or integrity of the IT environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
Help Desk / Desktop Support
- Assist ITM in maintaining Help Desk issue classification system to ensure accumulation of issues to allow for effective classification and prioritization, and to provide historical root-cause issue information for systemic issue resolution and for long-term systems and infrastructure planning.
- Manage Help Desk and provide timely and effective resolution of tier one end-user issues; escalate tier two and tier three issues to the ITM on a timely basis.
- Receive jobsite IT resource setup requests from project managers, develop and execute plan to ensure setup is performed by requested due date.
- Perform setup of IT resources at jobsite locations, including trailer wiring for data, installation of routers, switches, multi-function imaging peripherals, etc; coordinate same in situations where remote consultants are utilized for setup.
- Coordinate setup, installation and turn-up of job site communications services with providers.
- Job site visits as needed to resolve issues that cannot be resolved remotely or by assistance of remote consultants.
- Take-down of job sites and ensure recovery of IT equipment and preparation of same for future deployments; ensure shut down of communications services with providers.
- Maintain IT equipment laboratory in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Maintain physical IT equipment inventory in an efficient manor in accordance with technical specification standards and life cycle policy.
- Maintain timely and accurate inventory records.
- Update, rebuild, configure, reallocate, deploy and recover computers in accordance with standard specifications to ensure they are up to date and functioning effectively.
- Monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of computers and identify units that may require special attention or replacement.
- Manage disposal of IT assets at end of life, per direction of ITM.
- Manage acquisition, set-up, deployment, maintenance and recovery of mobile / smart phones;.
- Provide technical support for imaging devices, such as printers, scanners, etc.
- Maintain common area technology equipment in an orderly manner
- Other duties as assigned
Education
- Associate's Degree in Computer Information Systems required, bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 1-year experience in end-user support is required, 2-3 years of experience is preferred
- Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, customer service, communications, technical, research, analytical and trouble shooting skills
- Must be self motivated, resourceful and have a strong work ethic
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team

- Office-based position, with periodic travel. Must have full range of motion, lift up to 50 pounds.

- Pay Type: Salary
- Pay Range: $60,000 to $70,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
